SMSBUS

What is SMSBUS?

SMSBUS is the STCP service that allows you to make the most of your time waiting for the bus.
This is a text message service via mobile phone so you know, in seconds, which buses will arrive at your stop.
The waiting time is the time you earn.

SMSBUS gives you answers to two types of questions:

I'm at my stop. When do the next buses arrive (change times, waiting time in minutes and respective lines)?

or

I'm at my stop. When the next buses arrive on the route I want.

How do predictions work?

The SMSBUS forecasts, constructed using mathematical calculations, result from STCP buses equipped with a satellite location system (GPS), which detects their location in real time at 30-second intervals and are, therefore, globally reliable.

The calculations can, however, be affected by unforeseen circumstances: an accident or a traffic jam of abnormal length, preventing the system from accurately calculating the passage times. Buses that are not yet in service at the time of the request will also not appear in the forecasts.

Bus arrival times at the desired location may have an average deviation of more or less 2 minutes in relation to the times indicated for 90% of requests. In extreme cases, this value may be higher.

There are 2 types of SMSBUS messages to better meet your needs. Choose yours.

To find out the next 4 buses passing through the stop:

1. Send an SMS to number 68998
2. Write the stop code in the message field. Ex: ant1
3. In a few seconds, you receive the answer on your cell phone.

To find out the next 4 buses on a specific line at the stop:

2. Write the stop code (space) and line number in the message field. Ex: ant1 305
3. In a few seconds, you receive the answer on your cell phone.

How much does SMSBUS cost?
Saving time with SMSBUS costs very little.
The cost per message is €0.25 (VAT included).

This value encompasses the request for information and the corresponding response.
