On January 23rd, STCP hosted a visit at its facilities from employees of its six shareholder chambers – Porto, Vila Nova de Gaia, Maia, Matosinhos, Gondomar, and Valongo. The meeting provided an opportunity to better understand the company's road transport operations and the main challenges associated with public passenger transport.

Received by the STCP Board of Directors, the visit consolidated the articulation between STCP and the municipalities that comprise its structure, promoting the sharing of information, the alignment of objectives, and greater awareness of the operational needs of the public transport service.

During the visit to the Traffic Control and Operations Center, the technicians observed the real-time fleet monitoring and the role of this center in ensuring the reliability of transport. The visit continued at the Via Norte Collection Station, where they toured the facilities and saw the new vehicles already in circulation, acquired through municipal funding.

The initiative reinforced the role of municipalities as strategic and active partners of STCP, strengthening the joint commitment to the continuous improvement of public road transport serving the populations of the Porto Metropolitan Area.
