Any passenger wishing to travel with STCP can purchase a Boarding Ticket when boarding the bus, paying in cash or through the MB WAY app (QR Code Express).

For greater passenger convenience, STCP is part of the Andante intermodal system, offering a set of pre-purchased tickets for occasional or regular trips (see fare list here), as well as a post-paid service app (ANDA). Andante occasional trips and passes allow users to use a single ticket on different modes of transportation in the Porto Metropolitan Area.
If you need to find out which ticket is best suited to your travel needs, as well as information about discounts on monthly fees, we recommend contacting Linhandante (226 158 151 or cliente@andante.pt).

Andante monthly passes can be used on the historic tram lines (1, 18, and 22), as long as the charging zones correspond to those of the route being traveled. For occasional trips, please consult the Porto Tram City Tour onboard fare list.
When requested, passengers must show their travel tickets to security officers and keep them out of their wallets. The inspection process requires the officer to hold the ticket and insert it into the security machine. Passengers who do not have a validated ticket or one purchased from the driver are subject to a fine, the minimum amount of which is 100 times the value of the ticket purchased on board.

Consult the sanctions regime applicable to violations occurring in the area of public passenger transport: Decree-Law No. 117/2017 of 12 September.

If you wish to contest a traffic ticket issued during a STCP trip, you can use the website form or send your complaint to linhaazul@stcp.pt. Please note that, as provided for in Article 9-A of Law No. 28/2006 of July 4, as amended, voluntary payment of the fine at an Andante Store within 15 business days of the date of issue of the respective traffic ticket benefits from a 50% reduction and results in the case being dismissed. This period is not interrupted by the submission of any written defense.
