NEW LINE 605 AND ADJUSTMENTS TO LINES 600 AND 603
Starting on April 13th, STCP will reinforce its operations in the municipality of Maia with the launch of the new line 605, guaranteeing a direct connection between Barca and Marquês de Pombal Square, in Porto. Alongside this addition, lines 600 and 603 will be restructured.
The big news is the introduction of line 605, which connects Marquês to Maia, with the last stop in Barca.
With a more local route, this new line connects high-demand areas - Polo Universitário, Hospital São João, Pedrouços and Paranhos - to the areas of Vermoim and Gueifães, extending to Lago dos Maninhos and Rua da Bela Vista, in Barca.
In conjunction with line 603, a common line is created between Marquês and Gueifães, allowing for increased service and improved frequency throughout the week: on weekdays, the frequency increases from 30 to 20 minutes, and, on weekends, from 60 to 30 minutes.

The line begins its route at Pr. Marquês de Pombal, in Porto, and follows the same route as line 603 until the Maiambiente stop (MAMB1). After this stop, it turns left onto Av. Dr. Germano Vieira, R. Manuel Ferreira Pinto, R. Mogos, R. Altino da Silva Gomes, R. António Francisco Coelho, R. Fernando de Almeida, Av. Altino Coelho. After this street, it follows the route taken by line 603 before these changes, via the center of Vermoim, to the Maia City Hall.
Then, it follows the route previously taken by line 600 between the center of Maia and Barca. After passing the stop where the 600 previously finished (Barca), line 605 is extended along R. Gestalinho, Rua Castelinhos, R. Cabreira and R. Bela Vista, its final stop.

The line begins its route on Rua Bela Vista, continuing along Rua Central de Vila Verde, Rua Gestalinho, and then back again.
The terminal stop, at Marquês, has the code MPL1 (same stop as line 603).

Line 600 will now finish all its journeys at Fórum da Maia (MAIA bus stop), allowing for greater regularity of operation on a line with high demand.

Line 603 will now take a more direct route between Maia and Gueifães, serving the Sonae business park (Espido), strengthening connections to commercial areas and linking with other modes of transport.

After the Maiambiente stop (MAMB1), the line continues along R. 5 de Outubro until it reaches R. Jorge Ferreirinha (already part of the current route), which will follow in its entirety, then turns left onto R. Agostinho Silva Rocha (N107), connecting to Maia Jardim, Av. Eng. José Afonso M.ª Figueiredo and R. Dona Silvia Alves Teixeira.
On Av. Altino Coelho, it continues directly to Portas da Maia, turns left onto Av. D. Manuel II. Then, on Av. Visconde Barreiros, turns left onto the N14, southbound, exiting onto Via Periférica da Maia and Av. Eng. António Bragança Fernandes, where the route terminates in Espido, next to Sonae.
On Av. Altino Coelho, it continues directly to Portas da Maia, turns left onto Av. D. Manuel II. Then, on Av. Visconde Barreiros, turns left onto the N14, southbound, exiting onto Via Periférica da Maia and Av. Eng. António Bragança Fernandes, where the route terminates in Espido, next to Sonae.
