Electric Car Parade returns to celebrate “The Electric Car and the People”
With free entry to the Electric Car Museum all day, the event invites the public to celebrate all those who have dedicated their lives over decades to electric trams, from workers and conductors to passengers and the generations who grew up to the sound of the rails.
In this edition, the parade places people at the center of the narrative, reinforcing the Museum's mission to preserve emotions, relationships, and identities that continue to connect the past, present, and future of Porto.
Parade Program
Between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM, the historic electric cars from the Museum's collection will travel along the waterfront, with three trips:
• 1st Trip: 3:00 PM – Museum > Infante > Museum
• 2nd Trip: 4:00 PM – Museum > Passeio Alegre > Museum
• 3rd Trip: 5:15 PM – Museum > Infante > Museum
During the parade, the museum's actors will portray characters from different eras of the city, interact with the public, and celebrate the people who are part of Porto's identity.
Visitors can also find the “Forgotten Postcards” on board the cars and in the Museum, and can take them with them or leave them for another traveler to find.
