LINE 703 WITH NEW ROUTE
Starting April 13th, line 703 will take on a new route, between Pícua and Ermesinde, in Valongo .This reformulation results from the urban expansion of the city and the need to provide passengers with better connections, translating into increased service at Quinta da Granja and improved intermodal integration of public transport in Ermesinde.
With a new route and a new terminus at the Ermesinde train station, line 703 now ensures better connections with trains and the UNIR bus network. The route between Ermesinde train station, Saibreiras and Alto da Maia remains covered by line 701 (Bolhão - Codiceira).
The main change to line 703 involves extending its route to the Ermesinde train station, allowing for a more direct and efficient connection. From April 13th, passengers will have access to a bus line serving the following locations:
- Águas Santas swimming pools
- Ermesinde commercial zone
- Ermesinde's Loja do Cidadão
- Sonhos Basic School
- Sonhos Football Stadium
- Ermesinde train station
- Towards Ermesinde (Station)
After the "Coriscos" stop (CORI1), continue to the right onto Av. D. António Ferreira Gomes, R. Manuel José da Silva Correia, R. Manuel Francisco de Araújo, R. Piedade, R. Abel Salazar, Av. Eng. Duarte Pacheco, R. Dr. António Costa e Almeida, R. Presas de Sá, R. Palmilheira, R. Aldeia dos Lavradores, Túnel da Costa, R. Raúl Brandão and the remainder of the route that line 703 used to take in the direction of Cordoaria - which now goes towards Ermesinde on the new route - until Largo da Estação de Ermesinde, where it terminates.
- Towards Cordaria
The route begins at Largo da Estação, continuing along Rua Rodrigues de Freitas, Rua Vasco da Gama, and the remaining route that line 703 used to take in the direction of Sonhos – which changes to Cordoaria in the new route – until the "Sonhos" stop (SONH1). It then follows the remaining route in reverse.
