TMP, along with STCP and Metro do Porto, celebrates the 1st World Public Transport Day.

A joint initiative by Transportes Metropolitanos do Porto, STCP, Metro do Porto and Andante will take place at Trindade Station, offering free trips.

To mark the first World Transport Day, celebrated on April 17th, the main public transport entities in the Porto Metropolitan Area - STCP, Andante, Metro do Porto and TMP - are joining the UITP (International Association of Public Transport) celebrations in an initiative that calls everyone to Trindade Station on this day, under the motto "Public Transport deserves to be celebrated".

On site, in addition to information about the different modes of transport, the first participants in this action will be able to benefit from the offer of an “Andante Tour 1 Day” (transport ticket that allows free travel for 24 hours throughout the transport network of the Porto Metropolitan Area), in order to reward frequent users, but also to invite new users to try the region's transport network.

Reinforcing the importance of public transport as a pillar of more sustainable, efficient and people-centered mobility, and bringing operators closer to citizens, are the objectives of this action that celebrates all passengers who, daily, choose the bus, metro or train for their journeys.
