STCP guarantees transportation during Freshman Welcome Week

From October 18th to 25th, Porto celebrates the Freshman Welcome Week, organized by the Porto Academic Federation (FAP), with seven days of programming that mark the arrival of new students and celebrate academic traditions. To facilitate travel to the different events, STCP offers several transport options, promoting more comfortable, practical and safe journeys.

Throughout the week, students will be able to use the STCP network to reach the locations of the main events:

• October 18th | Serenade:

- To get there, passengers can use lines 200, 600 and 702, which will have their capacity increased;
- Lines 1M, 3M, 4M and 5M will be served by high-capacity buses throughout the early morning hours;
- Line 11M, which connects Trindade to Hospital de São João, will have increased frequency between 1:45 am and 3:15 am, ensuring better mobility conditions during the night.

• October 20th | Black Night: To reach the Matosinhos Sports and Congress Center, passengers can use lines 506, 507 and 601.

• October 22 | Freshman Train: line 404 ensures the connection between the University Campus and Campanhã Station.

• October 24th | XII Invictus – Festival of Female Tunas of the Porto Academy: the event takes place in the Grande Auditório of the Vilar Oporto Hotel and is accessible through the following bus lines: 200, 201, 204, 207, 208, 209, 302, 403, 501, 503, 507 and 601.

Serenata affects the circulation of some lines
This Sunday, the streets of Porto will once again be filled with music from the academy. Due to traffic restrictions associated with the festivities, some STCP bus lines will have temporary changes to their termini and routes between 10:00 PM on the 18th and 3:00 AM the following day.

Service changes can be found on the official STCP website. To keep track of any route changes, passengers can also activate alerts for the lines they regularly use.
