After an initial period of adaptation to the start of the BRT (Bus Rapid Transit), STCP is beginning a new phase of reorganizing its network.

Starting March 9th, operations will be aligned with the BRT system, aiming to strengthen intermodality and ensure faster and more reliable connections for passengers.

Route changes

To avoid overlaps with the BRT and strengthen integration with the rest of the network, changes will be introduced to the following lines:

Line 203 (Marquês – Castelo do Queijo)
Line 203 will now integrate the Estádio do Dragão as a new strategic hub, ensuring a direct connection between Boavista (Casa da Música), Marquês and the Estádio do Dragão.

By maintaining the route through Marquês, the line no longer circulates through Rotunda da Boavista and reinforces the regularity of the service.

This redefinition allows for the reinforcement and direct connection of three intermodal hubs: Boavista Marquês and Estádio do Dragão.

Line 200 (Bolhão – Castelo do Queijo)
Line 200 benefits from a significant increase in service. The frequency will decrease from 30 minutes (20 during peak hours) to 15 minutes throughout the day.

During the afternoon period, between Bolhão and Mercado da Foz, the frequency drops from 10 minutes to 7 minutes.

Lines 201 (Aliados – Viso) and 502 (Bolhão – Mercado de Matosinhos)
The adjustment of schedules on these two lines allows for the restoration of the regularity levels that were compromised since the beginning of the works associated with the implementation of the BRT, reinforcing the reliability of the operation.

Other changes:

Line 403 (Boavista Casa da Música – Campanhã)
In the direction of Casa da Música, line 403 will now serve the Campo Alegre axis, with a route change in the Massarelos area, on the return trip.

This change increases mobility options for passengers, creating direct connections to lines 200, 204, 207 and 209, as well as lines 902 and 903, which ensure the connection to Vila Nova de Gaia.
