The Porto City Council and STCP have reinforced the Via Livre service protocol, a measure that seeks to ensure smoother bus circulation and combat illegal parking in bus lanes and stops.
In effect since August 1st, this reinforcement has allowed for the doubling of teams on the ground (now with 10 operational personnel). Inspections will now be carried out by two teams in the morning and two in the afternoon, Monday through Saturday. Whenever necessary, there will also be night and early morning inspections, particularly at special events.
The municipal investment is around 900 thousand euros until 2028, guaranteeing greater responsiveness and effectiveness in clearing the roads.
The formalization of the agreement was attended by the Councillor responsible for Mobility and Transport of the Porto City Council, Hugo Beirão, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of STCP, Luís Osório.
