Following the international public tender, launched on June 5, for the acquisition of 30 more 100% electric passenger transport vehicles and the installation of an Electric Charging Station, consisting of 15 double chargers, and according to the information published this Friday on the Vortal Platform, STCP informs that the award was made to the proposal submitted by the competitor CAETANOBUS – Fabricação de Carroçarias, SA

The overall value of the contract awarded is €11,669,850.00 (eleven million, six hundred and sixty-nine thousand, eight hundred and fifty euros) and concerns 30 100% electric vehicles of the CaetanoBus brand and the installation of the charging station at the Via Norte Collection Station.

The new charging station at the Via Norte Collection Station will be installed by January 30, 2026, and the delivery of the new vehicles (standard 12-meter type with a range of approximately 320 km) will take place in phases between February and March 2026.

These 30 new, 100% emission-free buses join the 68 electric buses already in service and the 28 (20 standard and 8 midi) that will soon be added to STCP's fleet. This investment will enable an annual reduction in CO2 emissions and the provision of a more efficient public service, both environmentally and economically. The vehicles will replace end-of-life buses, in accordance with STCP's ongoing fleet renewal plan.
