STCP and FC Porto strengthen institutional ties at the Estádio do Dragão.
The Board of Directors of STCP, composed of Luís Osório, Isabel Mena Matos and José Manuel Ribeiro, was received by André Villas-Boas, president of FC Porto, accompanied by António Tavares, president of the General Assembly, and João Borges, vice-president of the club.
The meeting took place at a time of renewal in both institutions, with new administrations recently in office, reflecting an opportunity to strengthen the articulation and strategic alignment between two entities with a relevant role in the urban dynamics of Porto.
During the visit, particular emphasis was placed on the mobility challenges associated with the eastern part of the city, where the Estádio do Dragão is located, especially on match days, which are marked by significant peaks in demand. Issues related to flow management and accessibility were addressed, with a view to continuously improving the experience of the thousands of fans who travel to the stadium.
The visit also included a session to learn about the infrastructure and operational dynamics of the Estádio do Dragão, allowing for a deeper understanding of the specific challenges associated with mobility at large events.
This meeting is part of STCP's strategy to strengthen networking with institutional partners in the city, promoting more integrated, efficient and people-centered public transport solutions.
