STCP restructures network in Maia with new line 605 and reinforces local connections
On April 13th, STCP will begin reinforcing its operations in the municipality of Maia. This network restructuring, centered on the launch of the new 605 line, was planned to ensure faster and more direct connections, keeping pace with the city's transformation and the mobility needs of its citizens.

New line – 605 (Marquês – Maia (Barca)
The big news is the introduction of line 605 , which connects Marquês to Maia, with its last stop at Barca. With a more local route, this new line was designed to serve areas such as Vermoim and Gueifães.
In conjunction with line 603, a common trunk line is created between Marquês and Gueifães, allowing for increased service and improved frequency throughout the week (on weekdays the frequency decreases from 30 to 20 minutes and on weekends from 60 to 30 minutes).
This axis will serve high-demand areas such as the University Campus, São João Hospital, Pedrouços and Paranhos.
Lines with adjusted routes – 600 (Aliados – Maia (Fórum)) and 603 (Marquês – Maia (Espido))
Within the scope of this restructuring, the following changes also stand out:
• Line 600 (Aliados – Maia - Fórum): will now have a single destination, at the Maia Forum, allowing for greater regularity of operation;
• Line 603 (Marquês – Maia - Espido): takes a more direct route to Maia, now serving the Sonae business park in Espido, reinforcing the connection to commercial areas and the articulation with other means of transport.
These changes allow passengers to enjoy more connections, more direct routes and a network better suited to their needs.
