Christmas Electric Train celebrates gatherings and traditions around the table.

The concept for this edition stems from a dialogue between the Electric Car Museum and the community, inspired by the changes that the future Ferreirinha Bridge will bring to the Massarelos area. From these conversations and reflections, the theme for 2025 emerged: 'Around the Table', a symbol of the place where those who meet, like on a bridge, share, dream and create.

Developed in collaboration with the Dutch artist Eva Halfers, the artistic concept involved residents, visitors and the Museum team, transforming the tram into a visual representation of the tables and memories that give life to Portuguese homes, and which will travel the city's tracks until the beginning of next year.

Special programming

To celebrate the festive season, the Museum has prepared several activities that will take place inside the tram:

Santa's Ride

With the support of Ágora – Cultura e The Porto Municipality's sports program, the tram, will give a ride to Santa Claus accompanied by four musicians, between the Clérigos and Cordoaria stops.

Dates: December 6th to 8th, 13th and 14th, 20th and 21st, and 23rd.

Building Wishes

During the month of December, passengers will find postcards with illustrations by the artist Eva Halfers, on which they can write and leave a wish. The activity will be facilitated on board by the Museum's Educational Service.

Dates: 3, 4, 9, 10, 15, 16 and 17 December.

A Special Passenger

A surprise guest will share an animated theater on board that challenges the audience to imagine an unusual request that reaches Santa Claus.
