STCP informs that, within the scope of the collective bargaining process for the year 2026, it has reached an agreement with the five trade union structures representing workers, SNMOT, STTAMP, SMTP, STRUN and SITRA, on a set of labor matters applicable during the year 2026.
The agreement now formalized is the result of work carried out between the parties over the past few months and translates into a broader understanding that reinforces the stability of labor relations and the commitment to the continuous improvement of working conditions and the organization of the public transport service.
Since 2018, no signed agreement had been reached between STCP and all five trade union structures representing the workers.
Among the main commitments undertaken, the following stand out:
- The salary table has been updated, with an increase of €57.00 on the minimum base salaries in effect on December 31, 2025, an increase that has already been applied, with retroactive effect to January 1, 2026;
- The update to the seniority allowance tier "Over 28 years", with an increase of €17.50, effective from May 1, 2026;
- The increase in the meal allowance by €0.25, with retroactive effect to January 1, 2026, and a further minimum increase of €0.25 from January 1, 2027;
- The implementation, during the year 2026, of including travel time in the construction of daily services, at the shift change locations in the city of Porto, when the end point of the first part of the service does not coincide with the start point of the second part of the service;
- The study, development, and implementation, during the second half of 2026, of incentive mechanisms aimed at combating absenteeism and valuing performance;
- The continuation of dialogue and negotiation between the parties throughout 2026, particularly on matters such as the review of the SEP (Special Employment System) and the organization of working time, with the aim of implementing these issues during the current year;
- The possibility for workers to access the Andante network.
STCP underlines the importance of the joint work developed with the trade union organizations and reaffirms its willingness to continue, during the remainder of 2026, a constructive negotiation process, aimed at valuing workers and continuously improving the service provided to customers.
